Interim Senior Pastor Don Baker

Don Baker grew up in Chambersburg where he graduated from CASHS in 1976. He received his BS in Administration of Justice from Shippensburg State College in 1980. He completed an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1993. Don and his wife, Ann, lived and ministered as urban missionaries in Newark, NJ from 1983-1985.

Don Baker has served in full-time ministry for close to 40 years in para-church and church settings, many of those years in Chambersburg. He has served as the Area Director of Young Life in Franklin County, as Director of NETwork Ministries, on the pastoral staff of 4th Street Church of the Brethren, and as Director of Missions and Outreach at Falling Spring Presbyterian Church. Don began serving as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at King Street in the fall of 2010 and transitioned to the role of Executive Pastor in 2014. He served in this capacity through 2021. 

He and his wife, Ann, live in Chambersburg. Ann retired from the Pa State Health Dept. in 2017 and currently ministers as a trained Spiritual Director. Don and Ann are the parents of two married adult children (Daniel & Kara).

Don loves to read and greatly enjoys basketball (both watching & playing). He also currently serves as the chairperson of the Board of three local ministries: Young Life of Franklin County, the Franklin County Jail Ministry, and CROSS ministries.
